Fontanka publishes high-quality books and catalogues on art and culture, specialising in Russia-related themes.

We also translate from and into Russian, and advise on cultural projects involving the UK and Russia.

We welcome ideas offering new perspectives on art and culture, particularly relating to Russia and Eastern Europe.

Recent titles include books on the sculptors Henry Moore and Antony Gormley, both for the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg.

New in January 2012  Drawing the Curtain: the Cold War in Cartoons

A compelling look at Soviet and western relations during the Cold War, as seen through 75 Soviet cartoons. Introduced by Sergei Khrushchev, son of the former Soviet leader, the cartoons are juxtaposed with western cartoons on similar themes, revealing the extraordinary obsessions and propaganda campaigns of the period.

Exhibition at the Guardian, King's Place, 90 York Way, London N1 9GU throughout January and February 2012. For more information or to order the book, contact us at info@fontanka.co.uk.
